Behind This Guide

This guide exists because describing a place to stay and selling a stay in that place are two different jobs, and most online content tries to do both at once. Royal Sunset Kingdom does the first job only: it sets out what a property is, where it sits and how it works, in a structure that stays the same from one entry to the next, and then it stops.

Why this guide exists and who it is written for

Travellers who choose where to stay usually fall into two groups. One group wants a list of options and a button; the other wants to understand the place before deciding. This guide is for the second group: readers who would rather spend twenty minutes on a well-structured description than an hour comparing booking calendars.

It is written for people who plan ahead and plan deliberately. You might be comparing a prairie resort with a downtown tower, or deciding whether a historic waterfront address fits the trip you have in mind. The entries are built so that those comparisons can happen on the same footing: the same categories, the same order, the same length.

The guide is not written for last-minute bookers. If you need a room tomorrow, the official listing pages linked from each entry are the right place to be, and that is exactly what they are there for.

How properties are described — the same categories applied to every entry

Every entry in the guide is read through five categories: arrival, rooms, dining, public space, surroundings. The categories are fixed and the order is fixed, so by the time you reach your second entry you already know where everything is.

Within each category the writing stays descriptive rather than promotional. We say what the setting is, what the building is like, what kind of place it is. We do not attach superlatives, and we do not imply that one property is better than another.

What an entry cannot say, it does not say. If a detail was not part of the property’s own published information, it is not in the entry. That is why some entries feel shorter than others: the format is constant, but the amount of verifiable material is not.

What this site does not do

The site does not take bookings of any kind. There is no booking engine, no date calendar, no checkout, and no date picker anywhere on the property. Nothing on this site can reserve a room, hold one, or confirm one.

The site does not publish prices. No figures, no promotional framing of any kind. Prices change constantly and belong where the transaction happens; publishing them here would only produce stale, misleading content.

The site does not rank. There is no star rating of our own, no best-of list, no numbered ordering of the properties. The star classes shown on the cards are the properties’ own published classifications, reproduced for identification. The catalogue order is editorial, not a ranking.

Independence

Royal Sunset Kingdom has no ownership of, agreement with, or authority over any property described in the guide. None of the properties named here commissioned, sponsored or approved this site, and none of their operators are involved in what we publish.

We hold no commercial relationship with any of them: no affiliate arrangements, no content partnerships, no access to unpublished material beyond what each property publishes itself. The photographs used in the entries come from the properties’ own published imagery.

That independence is what lets the entries say only what the evidence supports. If a relationship with a property ever appeared, the honest response would be to stop writing about that property, not to disclose the relationship and carry on. For the working rules, see Our Method.
